Itinerary: 5 Days Desert tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert.

Pick up at the hotel or riad.  We will leave for the desert on the road to Merzouga.  We will find a town called Ifrane, a charming town totally different from the rest of Morocco where the Cedar Forest is located, here we can see a large number of monkeys where we can feed and enjoy the many cedars that this forest brings us, we will pass through Midelt  , located between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas, we will stop for lunch and continue the route.  We will continue the road to Erfoud, crossing the Ziz valley.  Then we will go to Merzouga, where we will spend night in hotel or riad

Day 2: Merzouga Erg chebbi, night in the desert.

After breakfast and taking a shower at the hotel, we go on a trip around the Erg Chebbi, visit a house and listen to some Gnawa music; originally from Mali, and Sudan. We will visit some abandoned mines, the Berber nomads, and an oasis of palm trees. Towards lunchtime, we go back to Merzouga, after lunch and rest, we go to the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in a camp equipped with drums live music in the middle of the Sahara, this is a great opportunity to take beautiful pictures of the sunset and the sunrise, when we arrive at the camp we go to the high dunes to see the sunset sun

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges.

The next morning we will get up early to see the sunrise.  After a camel trek, a good shower, and a good breakfast we will go to Marrakech, through Rissani, an important city that supplies food, animals, and handicrafts.  … We will continue to the Todra gorges, through the extensive palm grove of Tinerhir, where agriculture, date palms, crafts stand out….  Later we will get to the gorge.  Here we can see the spectacular landscape that for thousands of years has been forged thanks to the river that crosses.  We will continue along the path of Thousand Kasbah, named after the great Skoura palm, accompanied by hundreds of Kasbash that we will see along the way.  We will enter the Dades Valley and we will be able to admire the hundreds of kasbah that are along the route.  We continue along the river road entering the narrow valley.  We will make a stop to enjoy it.  Here they will dine and spend the night.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we will pass through the oasis of Skoura through the Valley of Roses formed by hectares of roses, whose aroma can be appreciated throughout the month of May.  Here you can see beautiful landscapes.  We will arrive in Ouarzazate where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, a World Heritage Site, full of towers and walls.  Within the mix of Islamic and Jewish religions.  We will also take a short tour of this beautiful city.  We will spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.

After a good breakfast, we will continue towards the fortified city called Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987 and where several famous films have been made such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Mummy … We will continue towards Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas mountains, stopping along the journey.  And later we will arrive in Marrakech this the end of our 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech
